Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of OmniVid Quiz ("the App"), operated by Han Linxiu ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. What the App does
The App is a study tool. You provide a link to a video; the App produces a text transcript of it and uses a large language model to generate quiz questions so you can test your understanding. The App is not a media player, a downloader, or a storage service, and it does not make video or audio files available to you.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. You are responsible for the security of the account you sign in with and for all activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time from within the App.
3. Your responsibilities for the content you submit
You are solely responsible for the links you submit. By submitting a link you confirm that:
- you have the right to access that content and to have it processed for your personal study;
- your use complies with the terms of the platform that hosts it and with applicable law; and
- you will not use the App to reproduce, redistribute, or publicly share content you do not own the rights to.
The App is provided for personal, non-commercial study. Do not use it to build a competing dataset, to process content at industrial scale, or to circumvent any access control, paywall, or technical protection measure on any platform.
4. Acceptable use
Do not: interfere with or overload the service; access it by automated means other than the App itself; attempt to extract source data or reverse engineer the service; use it to produce unlawful, harassing, or infringing material; or resell access to it.
5. Relationship with video platforms
We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any video platform or content creator. All trademarks and content belong to their respective owners. Your use of any third-party platform remains governed by that platform's own terms.
6. Copyright complaints
If you are a rights holder and believe content processed by the App infringes your rights, email support@beasaltfish.com with the specific video URL and a description of your rights. We will remove the associated material from our systems promptly on verification.
7. Credits and payment
The App uses prepaid credits. Credits are consumed when a video is processed and do not expire. Credits have no cash value, are not transferable, and cannot be redeemed for money. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are subject to that store's refund policy, and refunds are handled by the store, not by us. We may change pricing prospectively; changes do not affect credits you have already bought.
8. AI-generated content
Questions, answers, explanations, and feedback in the App are generated automatically by speech recognition and language models. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading, including where they appear confident. They are provided for study purposes only and are not professional, medical, legal, financial, or academic advice. Verify anything that matters against the original source.
9. Availability
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time. We aim to give notice of significant changes but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Processing may fail for reasons outside our control, including changes made by video platforms.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms or use the App in a way that exposes us or other users to legal risk. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.
11. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or lost profits.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, damages, and costs arising from content you submit or from your breach of these Terms or of any third-party platform's terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer laws in your country of residence.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in the App or by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
